Who is this trip for? Pastors and church staff only because of the government regulations and requirements.
The great need in Cuba is leadership training and resources to begin and sustain the growing need for thousands of small house churches across the island. The Western Baptist Convention of Cuba has a seminary that graduates approximately 10 men each year, but the need for Cuban church planters and Bible study leaders is 100 times greater. Your trip to Cuba will help to meet the tremendous need for leaders in these house churches. The people are open and receptive to our ministry there.
Rick Via Ministries has been partnering with Macedonian Call Ministries in Cuba for several years and God has opened many doors for the Gospel. Macedonian Call Ministries is licensed by the U.S. Treasury Department to conduct religious work in Cuba and is able to fly directly from Miami, FL into Havana, Cuba. Additionally, we are able to obtain religious visas from the Cuban government, which gives us legal permission to do mission work, witness and preach in the churches and live with the pastor for the week.
