Dr. Rick Via is a native of Roanoke, Virginia. He is the former pastor of Rainbow Forest Baptist Church in Troutville, Virginia where he served for thirteen years prior to going into full-time evangelistic work.
Since 1995, Rick has directed Rick Via Ministries, a non-profit mission organization dedicated to taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need of hope. He has preached the Gospel in over forty foreign countries including some difficult areas such as Vietnam, Cuba, and the Middle East.
In addition to international ministry, Rick Via preaches regularly in the U.S. leading revival meetings & missions conferences for churches and ministries. Rick is unapologetically committed to the inerrancy, infallibility, and authority of Scripture. He believes, lives by, loves and preaches the Bible, and it alone. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary and an honorary Doctorate of Theology from Mid-Atlantic Bible College.
Rick and his wife, Janet, have 5 grown children who are involved in ministry in one form or fashion. They are also the proud grandparents of 10 grandchildren.
