Dr. Rick Via is a native of Roanoke, Virginia. He is the former pastor of Rainbow Forest Baptist Church in Troutville, Virginia where he served for thirteen years prior to going into full-time evangelistic work.

Since 1995, Rick has directed Rick Via Ministries, a non-profit evangelistic ministry committed to taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need of hope. He has preached the Gospel in over thirty foreign countries including some difficult areas such as Vietnam, Cuba, and Cambodia.

In addition to his international ministry, Rick also preaches regularly in the U.S. leading revival meetings for churches, directing chaplain services for disaster relief projects, and much more. Rick is unapologetically committed to the inerrancy, infallibility, and authority of Scripture. He believes, lives by, loves and preaches the Bible, and it alone. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary and an honorary Doctorate of Theology from Mid-Atlantic Bible College.

Rick and his wife, Janet, have five grown children who are involved in ministry in one form or fashion. They are also the proud grandparents of 5 grandchildren.
